Leonard Nimoy Music Videos

February 9, 2012

So William Shatner is not the only Star Trek alum to feature in music videos.  Both have recorded multiple albums to questionable success.  Had Nimoy not been the fabulous Vulcan Science Officer, he may have been know for this explosion of hippiness in the 1960s:

My mind was sufficiently blown while watching that.  A stark contrast from the stoic character he typically plays.

Nimoy did put out a few more albums, but no videos with such campiness.  I thought his music videos days were over, until he appear in an alternate music video for Bruno Mars.  After much digging and confusion (this was before  wikipedia was updated), I discovered Nimoy’s stepson signed Bruno Mars to Atlantic records.  I still couldn’t get a reason why he actually did the music video.  Maybe Nimoy just likes being a crotchety old man.

I’d say the Bilbo Baggins video is more disturbing.  Just don’t get me started on his photography book of naked fat women.
